SPARROWTHORN.COM is named after our house in Gloucestershire, England (you can see a photo under ‘Misc. additions and links’ on the left). The website is a repository for various works / texts by (or relating to) the Kavanagh family.

Of particular interest, perhaps (especially because not currently available elsewhere) is an updated edition of Kate Kavanagh’s translation of the Argentine Gaucho epic Martin Fierro by Jose Hernandez. The original translation was published by the State University of New York, Albany in 1967. It has undergone  extensive revision for this version (2008).
